Sticky Buns
Tugun
Award winning Sticky Buns Patisserie is located at the northern end of the foodie strip on Tugun’s Golden Four Drive and is famous for fresh bakery goods made by owner and pastry chef Simon Fowler.
With ample street front parking and raised deck seating it’s an easy drop-in destination for hungry folks seeking beautiful baked goods to accompany your morning cup of joe care of Toby Estate's coffee.
Located next to Tugun’s busy supermarket since 1997, Sticky Buns offers friendly service to the steady stream of locals popping in to choose from the great selection of baked treats – including muffins, croissants, quiches, cakes, tarts, buns, scrolls, donuts, cupcakes and slices as well. Breakfast time sees the bacon and egg cheese-bread scrolls and chocolate almond croissants walking out the door in visitor’s arms en masse.
If you’re not in a hurry, allow some time to stare at the enticing offerings as it’s almost impossible to choose between the sticky date bars, vanilla or caramel slices, fresh fruit flan, chocolate fudge slices, petit fruit and custard tarts, chocolate cream eclairs, fresh cream apple turnovers, pumpkin tarts, chicken spinach and vegetable quiches, passionfruit cheesecake, vanilla cream torte, lemon meringue pie, chocolate ganache mudcake, and the cookies and cream cheesecake.
And if you are not yet feeling spoilt for choice, there are more tempting treats to contemplate. Perhaps the biggest drawcard and star of the lunch menu has to be the three-column selection hot pies and pastries, offering twenty flavour combinations as well as the daily baked special. Don’t forget to ask the friendly Sticky Buns staff about the vegan and dietary options on offer.
