Lark Cafe Grocer Resto-Lounge
Main Beach
Lark Café is one of the most colourful and cool cafes in Main Beach and is a funky and fun presence located on the corner of Stafford Avenue and main Beach Parade.
Just a block off the beach behind the Southport Surf Club and Main Beach tourist park (the local camp ground), Lark catches cooling sea breezes and as it serves up the finer things in life. Pull up a curb-side pew with your pooch outside or choose from the ample bistro and bar seating indoors and take in the atmosphere.

Boasting as much creativity and colour in its décor as it does in its food, this hotspot is adorned with spectacular graffiti murals. Especially beautiful is the main mural behind the counter, fittingly featuring a lovely meadowlark perched on a coffee cup with aromas wafting toward a flower-adorned green-eyed girl. If you’re lucky enough to get served by the lovely Kim, whose been with Lark since its inception in 2013, you might notice the striking resemblance! Just as the lark is the most cheerful of songbirds, symbolising luck and abundance at harvest, Lark too is the most cheerful of cafes, serving its own abundant harvest while always full of music.

The steady stream of bean hunters to Lark’s takeaway window know that Lark has been voted one of the best cafés on the Gold Coast for a reason. This popular spot offers coffee connoisseurs a smooth-bodied signature blend from Batch Coffee Roasters, with and notes of cocoa and caramel and a sweet finish. Bad ass coffee! Switched on coffee-goers love to choose from the enticing assortment of fresh cabinet treats to go with their killer cup-o-joe. It’s tough to go past the baked croissants, laden bagels, muesli slices, blueberry tarts, Bircher muesli or fresh fruit salad.

Popular for its impressive menu, Lark serves a huge selection of sweet and savoury all-day breakfast options, as well as a lunch menu that is anchored by fresh, homemade burgers and gourmet pizzas. Don’t forget to check out the enticing specials offered daily, like the special breaky corn fritters with avocado salsa, crispy bacon, and mint yogurt, or how about the to-die-for chorizo, rocket and red pepper bagel with fried egg, swiss cheese and chili jam, or even the delicious chicken cashew salad with macadamia pesto with sprouts and heirloom tomatoes. Just wow! Lark offers fresh juices and smoothies and also caters for little ones and all diets (vegan and paleo). Best of all, Lark is licensed so choose your tasty beverage from the extensive list of wine and beer, spirits and ciders.

Lark Café is not just a cool café, it is also a grocer and resto-lounge! Lark’s convenient mini grocer supplies simple staples, and this cool café space can morph into an atmospheric restaurant come live music lounge later for catered functions and weekend sessions, hosting the likes of Blues on Broadbeach star Brad Palmer, musician Simon Gudgeon, guitarist and Vernons singer Jonny Nyst and legendary local singer song writer Greg J Bryant, to name a few.

If you haven't already discovered the feast worthy food and bad ass coffee of this main beach cornerstone, why not pop down one weekend afternoon to enjoy a boutique beer and a live acoustic session!
