Coolangatta Beachside Market (Art and Craft Markets)
Gold Coast Markets
The Coolangatta Beachside (Art and Craft) Market showcases the best local artisans and great street food talents of the southern Gold Coast.

Over 100 colourful market stalls stretch the length of Queen Elizabeth Park on Coolangatta’s Marine Parade every 2nd Sunday of the month (and the 4th Sunday in five Sunday months), from 8am until 2pm.

The coffee carts have a constant stream of visitors seeking a smooth morning brew, and there are lots of food options for those with an appetite.

If fashion is your fancy, you’ll rejoice in the multitude of stalls offering fabrics and designs to treasure.

There's something for everyone, from bohemian designs for women and handmade styles for children, to bucket hats and vibrant swimwear.

You’ll delight in finding unique and one-of-a-kind pieces.

Take a piece of Cooly home with you with a stunning beach inspired famed artwork.

Perhaps you’d prefer a shell-inspired craft creation?

Some of the best treasures awaiting you are the custom and handmade jewellers' creations, like the fine designs of Lake Essence.

What about the exquisite handmade stainless-steel designs of Julie M!

Once you're adorned, get ready to adorn your home with the divine Moroccan designs of Hide and Seek Traders.

Perhaps you’d prefer one of the vibrant creations of Shirl’s Ceramics.

If you have your children are in tow, stop off at Stardust Candles where they can use their skill to design and make their own candle.

Another popular stall is the busy Opal Patch.

Peruse the huge selection of quality opals, rock and mineral specimens to find to one which speaks to you.

The Name Station is another stall the kids flock to keen to choose their coloured name bracelets.

You can’t go home without a treat for your four-legged friend so Hugo and Co has you covered, offering treats, shampoos, uniquely designed leads and harnesses.

If you’re very lucky, at the southern end of the stalls under a shady tree, you might meet author Marlena Katene, who is Australia's most unique entertainment journalist, having Cerebral Palsy and communicating via an ABC Board and iPad. Marlena has three wonderful books on offer, reframing the meaning of disability.

For something completely different, stop for a unique donation-only cut out portrait where you face is revealed in the cardboard.

If you haven’t already visited, come down and spend a sensation Sunday at Cooly!
