This year The Doyles Art Award will be running its 20th annual art award and exhibition. This annual event is a celebration of Australian representational fine art.

This exhibition will be on display from 27 June to 7 July 2024 at the hall at Firth Park - home of the Mudgeeraba Community Centre for the duration of this exhibition and in the winter school holidays. This venue offers excellent features including improved parking facilities with a higher number of nearby disability parks, disability access within the building, modern amenities plus controlled lighting and temperature.

The Doyles Art Award and Exhibition 2024

The Awards have gone from strength to strength throughout the years with the help of  sponsors, benefactors and community.  Winners have found it to be a valuable stepping stone in their careers with several artists being represented in galleries as a result of their exposure through The Doyles.

As a not for profit organisation, and nearly entirely volunteer driven, The Doyles Art Award is committed to delivering a nationally recognised art award with a ten day celebration of art in the historic village of Mudgeeraba.

With a prize pool of over $30,000 split amongst several categories, The Doyles are seen as a nationally significant Australian art award in the highly competitive art prize calendar. The primary prize money is awarded in the Landscape category, in keeping with the favoured subject of its namesake, d'Arcy Doyle, to perpetuate his memory and to encourage others in the creation of quintessentially Australian Art.

The Doyles Art Award and Exhibition 2024

This year there are a few additional activities to run alongside the exhibition. Including a series of workshops to be run by Artable in Mudgeeraba for artists or aspiring artists. Rebecca Cunningham from Life Drawing Sessions is going to run one of her famous life drawings in the village. Urban Sketchers are visiting on a Saturday morning to sketch the town. Plus there will be Paint and Sips, children’s activities and more. Watch our “Event” space for details as they become available. These events will be ticketed by the individual organisers.
