Get ready for nine days of action-packed competition as the 2025 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships—better known as The Aussies—hits the Gold Coast from March 29 to April 6, 2025.
The best surf lifesavers in the country will gather at North Kirra SLSC and Tugun SLSC to compete in over 480 thrilling beach and ocean events. This iconic championship is the largest event of its kind, rivalling even the Commonwealth Games in scale and excitement. This is your chance to witness Australia’s fittest, fastest, and strongest surf lifesavers in action.
The excitement kicks off with the Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Nipper and Youth Championships on March 29-30, where the next generation of surf lifesaving champions will showcase their skills in a variety of beach and water events. From sprinting across the sand to battling the waves, these young athletes will inspire and impress as they demonstrate the future of surf lifesaving in Australia.
Following that, the Masters and Open Championships will take center stage, featuring elite surf athletes competing in events like the Ironman and Ironwoman races, beach sprints, board and ski relays, and rescue competitions.
More than just a competition, The Aussies is a celebration of surf lifesaving culture, bringing together members from Australia’s 314 Surf Clubs in an epic display of endurance, skill, and teamwork.
