The Bread Social

The Bread Social is a stunning artisan bakery and cafe occupying a massive converted warehouse tucked in a back street of an industrial precinct of Currumbin Waters.

Customers have a choice of (dog-friendly) seating outside behind the planter boxes or inside the vast cavernous space, where, behind glass windows, you can see the bakers at work creating everything from organic sour dough loaves to buttery pastries.

Using the highest quality ingredients, loaves are hand crafted and baked in a stone hearth oven, with house signatures including their sourdough loaves, giant custard tarts and filled donuts.

As well as the delicious filled donuts (with fillings like chocolate custard or creme patisserie and are worth a trip alone for), there's plain croissants, almond croissants and pain au chocolat. 

There's also delectable Danishes with fruit toppings, friands, cinnamon scrolls, English muffins, sourdough jam donuts and their famous giant custard tarts. 

And that's not all - they also do baked cheesecake, lemon meringue tarts, cookies and flatbread with gourmet toppings as well as sandwiches and gourmet sausage rolls, whilst for drinks there's well-brewed coffee and a fridge of juices and soft drinks.

Not just a place for top notch bread, pastries and coffee, The Bread Social also have beautiful bouquets of fresh flowers for sale.

Good to know - Despite its off-the-beaten-track location, The Bread Social is super popular and can have queues on weekends.

Need to know - There is plenty of free off-street parking available.
