Velvet Cafe and Lounge blends Miami's electric dining scene with a sophisticated European-inspired menu offering a creative mix of breakfast, lunch and cocktail options.

Velvet serves an exquisite single-origin roast, selected by its Colombian owners, however it's the food that is its real draw card here, with sophisticated must-try items like the signature Overnight Tiramisued Oats. 

Other breakfast and brunch options include a refined classic Croque Monsieur or the European-Style Folded Eggs with nutty gouda, crème fraîche and chives served on toasted sourdough.    

More crowd favourites are the Spanish Tortillas with crispy confit potato, chorizo and caramelised onion or the Nourish Bowl with herbed quinoa, topped with caramelised Brussels sprouts, carrot, puffed pepittas, cucumber and avocado finished with crushed roasted macadamias.   

Apart from the top notch coffee, the striking Matcha Cloud is worth a try (an original blend of chilled coconut water crowned with a silky coconut-matcha cream) or The Earl Great, made from their house brewed Earl Grey iced tea lifted with panela and lemon, and finished with blood orange creme. On the cocktails list, the Classic Irish Coffee is also a favourite.    

The lunch menu doesn't disappoint either with the Chicken Salade à la Moutarde, a blend of tender poached chicken with crisp endive lettuce, candied walnuts, gouda and finished with a classic mustard dressing or the Phitivier which is a vegetarian homage to the classic British Wellington.
