'94 Cafe is a charming pocket-sized cafe in Palm Beach, drawing a crowd for its matcha, coffee and unique and delicious light brunch dishes.

Blending old world touches like cafe curtains, wood panel facade and a turntable playing vinyl with a thoroughly modern menu, '94 Cafe is the work of Turkish owners Ahmet and Alif, whose warm hospitality adds to the ambience.

Locals head here for their fix of matcha, which is hand-whisked to order using premium Japanese matcha powder, coming in popular flavours such as iced strawberry and salted caramel as well as iced chai honey cinnamon, brown sugar or buleberry matcha and salted maple hojicha.

Food-wise, the menu includes homemade banana bread or matcha banana bread with espresso buttter, ham & cheese croissant or Acai bowl (granola. seasonal fruit, coconut flakes, crushed peanuts, chia seeds and Nutella or peanut butter).

Other choices include Avo mash, with pickled fennel, creamy cheese, snow peas & fresh chilli); and Mortadella on focaccia with fig, creamy mix cheese, sundried tomato and chimichurri.

There's also salmon bagel with their signature pesto cream, dill and onion, beef sourdough toastie (roast beef, cheddar, pickles, mustard and signature sauce and fresh loaded sandwiches with fillings like poached chicken, yoghurt tartare, lettuce and carrot or ham on sourdough with lettuce, beetroot, tomato, carrot, cheese, mayo and hot honey.

The beautifully brewed coffee is from St Ali and you'll find cold brews like iced cappuccino and Mt Blanc (fruit-based cold brew with a creamy top, finished with orange & nutmeg zest).
