Litte Mali is a much-loved café on the South end of the Gold Coast, located one block back from Rainbow Bay's Lifeguard Tower 1 and its namesake the Little Mali rock reef, on the foodie corner of Boundary and Ward Streets.  Named Well-known for its Beachside treats and wholefood eats, Little Mali is in good company, sharing this block with famous Fresh and Fried on Rainbow (the go-to place for a good old fish and chips) on one side and South East Café and Bar on the other.

Having earned a reputation for its excellent coffee, healthy bites and vegan options, the cute café, marked by two funky wall murals, has grown in popularity and size over the years.  You’ll likely find folks lining up for takeaway coffee and eats but Little Mali now offers ample covered and umbrella-shaded curb-side seating for those wanting to sit, relax and enjoy their eats.

It’s the menu and daily specials that keeps folks coming back, with all day breakfasts favourites including Smashed Avo on sourdough (with feta, sesame, dukka and lemon oil), the goodness green bowl (with avocado, quinoa, seasonal herbs, sauteed broccolini, snow peas, kale, poached egg, Greek yoghurt, sesame and almond dukka), and the Bay big breakfast for those with an appetite.

Alongside the favourites you’ll find a fresh take on all the breaky classics like the Paradise pancakes (vegan and served Seminyak-style, fluffy with banana, seasonal fruit, coconut ice-cream and Canadian maple syrup) and the Local (with smoky bacon and eggs with avocado, feta, almond dukka, chilli jam and toasted sourdough). Lunchtime favourites include the mushroom and southern fried chicken burgers.

Little Mali is also famous for its smoothie bowls, all served with their crunchy vegan gluten-free granola and seasonal fruits. Spoil yourself and try the original Açaí, the Lean Green (with green Spirulina), the Mermaid Blue (with blue Spirulina), the Peanut Butter (house-made), the Chocolate (coco flesh), or the Coconut and Mango bowls.  Well known for their excellent coffee, Little Mali’s bean of choice is Byron Bay’s Bun Coffee.  They also serve tea, shakes and fresh juices cheekily named the Summer fling, melon head, glowing green and tropical crush.
