Piada Co
Burleigh Heads
Updated: Jun 26, 2026
Piada Co brings an authentic and unique taste of Italian street food to Burleigh Arcade, the perfect spot to grab a quick and casual bite to eat in Burleigh Heads.
The bright cheerful eatery behind the red-striped awning offers a mix of seating on the street furniture in the arcade or inside the cosy bright lit space.
House specialty is the piadina (which is traditionally sold from carts on street corners of Romagna) - a scrumptious crispy round flatbread (made fresh daily on premise) with a selection of generous fillings.
Start the day with bacon and eggs or Brat (bacon, rocket, avocado, fresh tomato, provolone, aioli) piadina, and be sure to try all-day fillings such as Mortadella (Byron Bay stracciatella, Piada Co artichoke cream, rocket); Porchetta (provolone, caramelised onion, piada co artichoke cream, rocket, aioli) or Ham (provolone, pickled zucchini, rocket, truffle mayo).
Other street favourites that come recommended are the Mortadella (mortadella, Piada Co artichoke cream, pistachio) or Fresh Tomato (tomato & basil) Byron Bay Burrata Bowls; as well as arancini (Amatriciana or Cacio e Pepe) and Calamari Fritti.
Meanwhile sweet treats include nutella piadina; and a choice of pistachio, chocolate or Biscoff cannoli and there's also a couple of Bambino Meals (ham & cheese or salami & cheese and chips).
Drinks include canned frappes, premixed cocktails (including Aperol spritz, margarita, and fizz orange & mango or watermelon & berry), canned beers and wines, pop top juices and soft drinks.
Good to know - Takeaway is also available. Piada & Co is dog-friendly, with water bowls provided and pooches welcome to join their owners outside.
Need to know - There is street parking available on James Street and surrounding streets.
