Meraki SoulFood Kitchen
Labrador
Meraki Soulfood Kitchen is on the southside of the Musgrave Avenue foodie pocket in between Chirn Park and Chirn Place and upon its 2016 arrival was a revelation, bringing an ethos of healthy wholefoods to for Labrador’s dining scene.

This laidback place has ample rustic industrial table settings running from the open and airy alfresco dining space through to the muraled indoor dining space. The café's creator named the Soulfood Kitchen for the Greek verb Meraki, meaning "creating with soul", and she proceeded to develop an original menu based in raw, gluten-free whole food.

With it's cuisine having since evolved into ‘soulfood’, Meraki now offer lots of vegan and gluten-free options, geared towards tasty produce-driven food. In addition to a cabinet full of healthy freshly made treats, there are some enlightened breakfast menu options, such as the Vegan Benny Stack (pictured) with a house made sweet potato patty, grilled cauliflower steak, roasted capsicum, mushroom, avocado, spinach and topped with Meraki’s famous cashew dill sauce. Just what you need for a nutritional boost! For lunch there are vegan, chicken and beef burgers as well as some surprising salads. We recommend the gluten and dairy-free Moroccan Chicken Salad served with quinoa, chickpeas, brown rice and rocket topped with tahini vinaigrette.

Meraki serves a wide variety of beverage choices. From Organic Jungle Bean coffee care of Cre8tive Coffee, Kombucha, bottled juices and vegan smoothies (Kale Kick, Banoffee, 24 Karat Gold, Classic Acai and the Breaky Boost), to low alcohol and low carb brews.

Meraki is inviting you to come in and come on a journey of good food, good company in a great environment.
