ATTO Korean Cuisine
Southport
ATTO, located in Chirn Park, is dishing up a fusion of traditional and modern Korean Cuisine.
The brainchild of Yongsul Lee, who, since moving from Korea has made his way up the ranks at top-tier restaurants including hôntô, Spice Temple, Rick Shores and Etsu Izakaya. Now, Lee is stepping out on his own with ATTO and living out his culinary dream.
ATTO's minimalistic and intimate interior of dark-grey walls, a few framed artworks and decorative pillows is the perfect backdrop for the star of the show - the food.
Open for lunch and dinner everyday, diners can dig into a mouth-watering menu of starters and mains including kingfish sashimi with kohlrabi, shiso, onion chives, gochujang sauce, soy milk and green shallot oil, Black Angus skirt raw beef with Korean pear, cucumber, perilla leaf and crispy quinoa, ATTO prawn burger (prawn katsu with pickled zucchini tartar and fermented chilli oil), tradition K.F.C (Korean Fried Chicken) and charcoal grilled Moreton Bay Bug with fermented soy bean, yuzu kosho, perilla leaf and house chilli oil.
For dessert, sweet tooths can indulge in Bingsu - a traditional Korean sugary treat made up of super fine, milky snow ice with dulce de leche, mango and toasted lime meringue.
Need to know: There is plenty of on-street parking along Brooke Avenue and surrounding streets.
