Flor Wine & Grocer

Just as its name suggests, Flor Wine & Grocer is a boutique bottle shop and grocer located on Park Avenue in the heart of Burleigh, specialising in authentic, natural, organic and sustainable wine, and hard-to-source pantry items, deli products, cheeses and fresh flowers.

The sleek signage and burnt red subway-tiled facade might draw you to explore this boutique bodega (Spanish for wine cellar and small grocer), tucked just behind iconic Ze Pickle, but the sweet selection of fresh local produce, handmade small goods and premium wines will keep you coming back.

Flor is like a modern take on a much-loved throwback—think neighbourhood corner store meets wine store but with a bougee boutique twist. The perfect pitstop for headland or beach picnic goers to pick up that elusive drop and every grazing delight that goes with it. Don’t forget the freshly baked baguettes from Burleigh Baker or the fanciful fromages awaiting you in cold cabinet—no picnic is complete without a visit to Flor. 

Owners Peter Rogers, Jarome Smith and Randy Shawhave a mantra—“Authenticity matters” and Flor is that mantra come to life, in the form of a foodie and oenophile’s idea of heaven. Flor Wine & Grocer is all about the authentic & the vital: ethically sourcing incredible local Gold Coast and Northern NSW products and handmade small goods from all around Australia. 

Flor also carries a select range of the highest quality conservas and specialty pantry items from around the world, alongside an engaging line-up of natural, minimal intervention, new wave and classic wines, crafted and distributed by inspiring, thoughtful small producers and distributors from around the world. The solid selection features Australian boutique producers as well as curated drops from Austria, France, Italy and Spain.

‘Project Seventy Six’ is Flor’s own in-house wine label that is blended locally in Queensland, offering a Red, a Rosé and a chilled Sauvignon Blanc, ready to throw in your basket. If you’re not a wine nerd and not sure what to choose, never fear, the Flor team know their way around a bottle and love to share their knowledge with you.
