The Hidden Cherub is a warehouse style, hidden bar, offering crafted cocktails, good music and naughty plant-based eats in the back streets of Burleigh Heads. 

You might have to look down Lemana Lane behind the Heartfill store to find it, but once there, you’ll be glad you made the effort. 

This garden-inspired Californian-style cocktail bar is a casual venue with an industrial feel, and plenty of booth and bar style seating, warmly lit by the inviting “dancing” neon sign at the door. Enjoy a “tinnie” in the outdoor ambience of the festoon lighting, or slide into a comfy black-and-white plush booth under the leafy décor to scan and select from the extensive eMenu of crafted cocktails, flavoured margis (margaritas), tap beers, wine, ciders and bar snacks on offer.

The Hidden Cherub’s nine crafted house cocktails are cleverly named and presented according to their sweet, sour, floral, herbal, fruity, citrusy or smoky notes. Treat your tastebuds to the tequila-based Pink Panther with guava, passionfruit, hibiscus, lemon, aquafaba, grapefruit bitter and orange blossom; sample the gin-based Basil Smash with pear, fresh basil, cherry bitters, lime and chartreuse verte; or sip on the gin-based Cherub’s Flower with Cointreau, rhubarb syrup, cranberry, rosewater, rosemary and lime.

To complement your tipple of choice, the Hidden Cherub serves Californian-inspired Mexican and American dishes that are cleverly entirely plant-based.  Choose a tasty bar snack or a plant-based burger, a “hefty” bowl or plant-based taco, or even a biscuit-crusted dessert, as you enjoy the smooth beats from the DJ’s decks.

Look out for happy hour specials on weekend evenings or head along for Taco Thursdays or 2-for-1 Sundays and, if you’re just looking for a snack on-the-go, drop by the Cherub’s cheeky laneway take-away window. You’ll be glad you did!
