Granddad Jack's Craft Distillery

Granddad Jack’s Craft Distillery is the Gold Coast's first craft Gin, Vodka and Whiskey distillery, located in Lemana Lane in Miami, just a few minutes from the North Burleigh Surf Life Saving Club. 

This family owned and operated distillery as all about creating craft spirits & liqueurs for folks to enjoy while paying homage to family legend, Granddad Jack. 

Granddad Jack’s is a repurposed surfboard warehouse converted into a raw and rustic fully working distillery complete with the stills and tap room on show, an intimate tasting room, a rustic barrel room and a retro barber shop lauding the man.  The exposed brick and beams, polished concrete bar and floors, skylit high ceilings and vintage leather chesterfields add to the rustic olde worlde but seriously cool vibe.

The distillery’s award-winning spirits and liqueurs are handcrafted, recreating age-old family recipes that pay tribute to the old “hard-arsed” barber.   

Take the 65 Miles spiced Gin which reflect the man’s dedication and integrity in its navy-strength full flavour; the perfectly balanced juniper-infused dry Two Pencils Gin which tells the story of his tenacious efforts to double his pennies from a pencil; the Greenhouse Gin which celebrates his love of sipping his tipple of choice in his backyard garden; and the award-winning Barbershop Coffee Liqueur which lauds his long career as the local barber.    

An array of cocktails is served Wednesday to Sunday and distillery tours & tastings are available.  The most popular choice is the taproom taster of the three Gins – 65 Miles, Two Pencils and Greenhouse Gin – with perfectly matched tonics – East Imperial Grapefruit or Long-Rays Tonic – and complementary dehydrated fruit garnish.

Enjoy your tipple of choice as you enjoy the dulcet tones of talented live musicians.  The spirits are also bottled and available for purchase. t’s worth noting that Granddad Jack’s is BYO or order-in food, with dogs and children also welcome.
