With lots of restaurant and cafe options in the village, La Macelleria is in great company. Their gelato is the perfect after lunch or dinner sweet treat. But if you ask the regulars, it’s worth coming for the gelato alone! There is seating available along the wall inside and on the footpath outside the venue.
La Macelleria has so many incredible options including their Creme Classiche flavours such as Stracciatella and Cioccolato - which is 85% cacao! You could also opt for one of their Creme Speciali flavours like the Tiramisu. La Macelleria sources the coffee for the Tiramisu flavour from Segafredo and the mascarpone is locally sourced from Burleigh.
There is also a range of Sorbetti for the non-gelato eaters. With flavours such as Mixed Berry, La Macelleria keeps things interesting with a selection of seasonal fruits. You can even add a wafer to any cup or cone free of charge.
Good to kinow - From February 10th, on every second Monday, the Mermaid Waters La Macelleria is going to be running a gelato workshop. Taking a maximum of 8 people per class, the experience is intimate and hands on. At $80 per person, the workshop runs for an hour and a half and you get to take home a litre tub of the gelato you make (valued at $33). DM @lamacelleriagelateria or call/text 0412791386 to book!
