Pizzey Park
Miami
Updated: Feb 24, 2025
A leafy oasis right in the middle of Miami, Pizzey Park’s 60 hectares of greenery and forest is the gift that keeps on giving.
As one of the biggest parks on the Gold Coast, it’s no surprise that this hub of sporting facilities is always absolutely buzzing.
There is something for people of all ages at Pizzey. There’s plenty of playgrounds, including one adjacent to the Miami Aquatic Centre and the picnic area as well as another one right on the other side of the park near the Miami Tennis Club.
Boasting 14 synthetic grass courts, an air conditioned club house and even BBQ facilities, Miami Tennis Club is well equipped for anyone who wants to come and have a hit!
Perhaps one of the most impressive features of Pizzey Park is the Pine Tree Forest. Towering over the rest of the park, you feel as though you’ve been transported into another world as you walk amongst the pines.
There’s always somewhere new to walk at Pizzey where you can choose from plenty of different paths. Also, look out for the signage for off-lead dog areas so you and your pup can both enjoy the parklands!
You can even make a day of it and pack yourself a picnic to enjoy at one of the many picnic areas and tables in the precinct. The Cathy Crawford picnic area located near the Miami Aquatic Centre is the perfect place to lay out your blanket and dig in!
Constantly making improvements to this important part of the coast, the Gold Coast City Council’s Pizzey Park Master Plan is still ongoing. The skate park extension was recently completed and the Rugby League field extension is next on the agenda!
Good to know - You can enter Pizzey Park at Precinct Drive off Pacific Ave, or at Bardon Ave off Pizzey Drive.
Need to know - There is plenty of onsite parking along Precinct Drive, with each venue, such as the Miami Aquatic Centre and the Miami Tennis Club, having their own carparks as well.
