Join Queensland Symphony Orchestra as they celebrate Hans Zimmer, one of the unofficial Kings of Movie Scores. Music lovers are in for a treat as the Orchestra, led by special guest conductor Vanessa Scammell, perform a curated selection of the Academy and Grammy Award winner's powerful emotive scores, spanning several genres from the 80s to now.
Relive the music from your favourite Zimmer films, from the brooding tones of The Dark Knight to the heart-warming melodies of Kung Fu Panda, plus music from much-loved films such as The Lion King, Gladiator, and The Da Vinci Code.
Audiences will board the Black Pearl and plunder with The Pirates of the Caribbean before a well-earned break with Cameron and Kate in The Holiday. From Inception to Interstellar, the magnitude of Zimmer’s works is guaranteed to keep you enthralled.
Hosted by the creators of the popular podcast Art of the Score, Andrew Pogson and Dan Golding will be in attendance to guide audiences through the ins and outs of Zimmer’s musical genius and award-winning scores.
