Stones Throw Cafe

Stones Throw Cafe is a garden cafe oasis in Currumbin Waters, with two entrances - one via an old shop front that it shares with Cranky Joe's Ugly Dumplings and the other via a garden gate.

Take a seat in the garden which is like a quintessential Queensland backyard, shaded by poinciana trees and with a large covered deck, lawns and a sandpit with a tiny vintage caravan that doubles as a play house in one corner.

The menu has an international flavour with breakfast dishes (served until 11.30am) such as Saag Aloo hash (panfried potato & spinach with chilli scrambled eggs, Indian bread & dahl dipping sauce), coconut sugar cured prawn omelette (Qld prawns, house made chilli sambal, green chilli, spring onion & sourdough toast) along with Breakfast or mushroom burger and 'Eggs Your way'.

All-day dishes include Beef Rendang mince with crispy fried egg, chilli lime dressing and sourdought toast; caramelized nectarines with house made granola, macadamia native spice crum & coconut yoghurt; or avocado with kaffir lime, verjuice braised cherry tomatoes & pumpkin toast.

From 11,30am onwards customers can enjoy lunch dishes such as Hawaiian poke bowl; American philly cheese steak or Korean pork bibimbap (rice bowl); as well as a selection of fries including Aussie, Mexican, Indian, Italian and Candaian poutine.

There is also an all-day kids menu with a choice of pancakes, mini hot dog, kids cheese toastie or kids picnic platter &fresh fruit, veges, cheese & sourdough soldiers and a special doggie menu of a paw omelette and puppuccino.

Good to know - Stones Throw is super child and dog friendly with plenty of space for kids to play and dogs welcome to join their owners in the back garden.

Need to know - Entry via the shopfront at Station Rd or the back gate on Currumbin Creek Road. On arrival choose your own table, order at the counter and help yourself to water.
