Salvos Store, Palm Beach
Palm Beach
While the huge West Burleigh Salvos store relocates from Kortum Drive to its new digs, Palm Beach Salvos on Eighth Avenue is in the spotlight as the place to go for pre-loved threads and goods.
Run by the Elanora Corp. of the Salvation Army, this Salvos store operates to raise funds through the sale of donated quality new and used goods, including furniture, clothing and shoes, homewares and books.
You can find a second-hand or vintage piece at an affordable price while helping raise funds for emergency services, aged care, indigenous programs, chaplaincy and a multitude of other programs and partnerships across the community and internationally.
Salvos stores are committed to providing a fun and affordable shopping experience for thrifty shoppers.
This delightful shop offers a colour-tagged savings guide, household wares sorted by colour, funky displays of quirky fashion finds, and themed feature displays (for example Western style clothing and artwork).
This op shop is compact in size but packs a punch in terms of the variety of goods on offer. With quality clothing on well sorted racks, organised shelves of toys and household bric-a-brac, and jewellery and valuables in counter displays, this place is like the Tardis of precious pre-loved pieces.
You don’t need to be as smart or as style conscious as Doctor Who to know there’s bound to be a hidden treasure or two just needing to be uncovered by keen-eyed thrift shoppers.
