Strange Days

This fantastic little shop, located on the Gold Coast Highway in Palm Beach, is full of vintage magic and is quite possibly the coolest retro store on the coast, or in the country in fact.  Strange Days is all things rock ‘n’ roll with a touch of western soul.

Strange Days grew out of owner Sylvie’s passion for vintage and upcycled clothing and retro goods and from her rock ‘n roll, western style. She is all about encouraging people to shop imaginatively and sustainably.

The vintage delights are all carefully curated by a gal "with a love of old shit”.  Paying homage to the 60’s and 70’s, Strange Days takes its name from the second studio album by the American band the Doors released in 1967 and the chart topping single, “People Are Strange”.  For Sylvie strange is good and Strange Days is about celebrating individuality!

And while the store front might be small, inside you’ll find a treasure trove of perfectly worn in leather jackets, endless denim and western threads. 

Along with the vintage and upcycled clothing, you’ll find retro goods, plus whimsical fashion of the 90’s eschewing the frivolities of fads and tropes of the tomboy, as well as a small collection of new boutique clothing and accessories.

Whether newly created or gently loved, all the pieces are hand selected, relevant and affordable.  If Sylvie’s shop doesn’t inspire you to shop imaginatively and sustainably, nothing will.
