Chanoyu Japanese Cafe

Tucked away in Nerang town centre is charming and unique Japanese fusion cafe Chanoyu, which serves Japanese-flavoured breakfast and lunch as well as Japanese desserts and matcha drinks.

Customers can take a seat inside or on the green-festooned terrace and enjoy a unique menu unlike anything to be found elsewhere, with the option to have many of the standard dishes with Oz or Japanese flavour.

All-day breakfast includes pancakes (Matcha or plain); bacon and egg roll with sriracha mayo on a Japanese milk bun; Eggs Bendict with bacon or teriiyaki chicken; and the classic Omurice (a traditional Japanese dish of omelette stuffed with fried rice, chicken and mushroom and served with homemade tomato chutney.

All day lunch dishes include Yuzu chicken burger, Wagyu roast beef sandwich (Japanese style) on milk bun; teriyaki or karaage chicken rice; and Katsu sando (pork or chicken).

For something sweet there's a selection of Japanese cakes, including matcha and black sesame-filled croissants, baked Yuzu cheesecake; and Matcha chocolate ganache tart. 

To drink there's organic coffee; chai; hot chocolate; matcha, sesame or hojicha latte (also available iced); smoothies (including Yuzu mango crush or acai soy; thick shakes (including coffee, chocolate, vanilla or black sesame) and watermelon lemonade or honey lemon & yuzu soda.
