If you let you nose do the talking, you’ll find yourself wandering through the undercover porch of this beautiful heritage-listed ex-plantation-packers house, and into a present-day foodie’s dream. 

Offering laid-back and pooch-friendly curb-side seating under the atmospheric porch or plush bench-tables in the family-friendly indoor dining area – complete with kiddies play corner – Plantation House has all the ambience and amenities any café enthusiast might seek. The vertical garden adds an airy feel, while the antiques and artefacts are perfectly punctuated with timeless quotes, reminding diners that “coffee and a friend is the perfect blend”! 

The bean of choice for the Plantation House is Adore Roastery’s original Jackson Blend, featuring notes of rich caramel and dark chocolate for lovers of lighter roasts. This is a café with a conscience, serving takeaway coffees in sugarcane fibre to-go cups to save trees, and keeping a chalkboard tally of coffees-paid-forward to encourage community kindness. If caffeine is not your thirst, look past the macchiatos, mochas and dirty chai lattes and discover the huge selection of loose-leaf teas, fruit smoothie blends and create-your-own fresh juice combinations.   

Plantation House greets you with a display cabinet full of home-made and baked-in-house treats including pies and scones, croissants and crumbles, friands and fritters, as well as raw honey from regular Martin the honey hunter. The menu is jam-packed with all-day breakfast delights including the Plantation Omelette, the Hash Stack and the Vegie Patch.  The fabulous lunchtime fare includes Crispy Skin Atlantic Salmon, Lemon Pepper Squid, Thai salad and their famous Wagyu Beef Burger. And if that’s not enough, Plantation offers a huge board of delicious daily specials.  

Those seeking a chilled tipple to accompany their food will be delighted to discover that the Plantation House is also licensed, so you can enjoy chilled Corona or Heineken, or perhaps an elegant sauvignon blanc, rosé, shiraz or pinot grigio with your meal.
