Hideaway Kitchen & Bar
Broadbeach
Hideaway Kitchen and Bar is Broadbeach’s buzzing Asian street food sensation, located at the south end of Broadbeach on the Gold Coast Highway across from The Star casino and Pacific Fair.
Creators, Scott Imlach and chef Jon Hizola, are taking diners on a culinary trip to the orient.

Step through the unassuming frontage into the unique space fronted by a curved bar complete with double swing, and saunter past the bar tables to your seating option of choice. Whether it be inside in the private dining space or soft booths surrounded by the impressive graffiti artwork, or outside under Hideaway’s famous hanging umbrella installation on the spacious alfresco deck, you’ll be immersed in Asian street ambience.

Hideaway’s huge menu is street food that’s meant for sharing – choose from a medley of Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Malay and Chinese dishes. Smaller plates include plates like spiced edamame with chilli salt, fried lotus roots with spiced aioli, crispy soft-shell crab Szechuan and cucumber pickle. There is also the Raw Bar, dumplings, skewers and bao to start.

Bigger plates offer curries, rice and noodles – think duck pancakes, sticky lamb ribs, lamb shank Massaman curry, grilled salmon with Penang sauce or duck red curry – and add salad and greens – like steamed Asian greens or wok fried vegetables! And you simply must finish with a sweet thing like sweet fruit dumplings or coconut and orange syrup cake.

The drinks menu features a stellar selection of complementary beverages including a curated wine list, a multitude of Asian beers, some enticing Sakes plus a long list of cocktails with a hint of Asian flavour.

So whether it’s for an intimate dinner for two or a large group, this Hideaway has your feasting needs covered – there is a Street Feast option for large groups and if you’re looking for a Sunday session, live music kicks off in the garden around 1pm.
