Gold Coast dining icon Mamasan has reopened in Broadbeach after a stunning transformation that redefines the Mamasan experience, in celebration of its 10th anniversary.
The transformation introduces extraordinary new spaces designed to host everything from intimate dinners to exclusive private events, positioning Mamasan as the Gold Coast's premier destination for sophisticated Asian dining.
The renovation dramatically expands Mamasan's footprint, with the dining room now flowing seamlessly through to Elizabeth Street. The integration includes Mamasan's new sun-kissed alfresco dining space, which seamlessly connects with the main dining area through innovative bifold windows that can completely open the space.
At the heart of the transformation lies Mamasan's spectacular new 10-person private dining room — an intimate, moody sanctuary enveloped in rich Japanese charred timber panelling with carefully orchestrated warm lighting and featuring a striking large round table as its centrepiece.
The evolved menu continues to showcase Mamasan's signature flavours that guests have celebrated for the past decade, while introducing fresh creations that reflect Executive Chef Tan's evolving vision.
On the menu are cold + raw dishes like shio kombu kingfish; Qld tiger prawn carpaccio. and yellowfin tuna taco; and small plates such as Sichuan burrata; their famous Wagyu katsu sando; and Hervey Bay scallop and prawn toast.
From the chargrill there's the likes of fragrant lamb ribs, with femmel & cumin salt; whole tiger prawns with shellfish kombu butter; bulgogi octopus with blistered shishito peppers; and chargrilled bone marrow with butter curry. An exciting new addition to the menu is the Hong Kong 'Typhoon Shelter' lobster with chilli garlic crumb and umami butter.
Large plates to share include 12hr braised pork belly with Davidson plum spicy glaze; satay crispy half chicken with charred lemongrass; chargrilled butterflied market fish; and, the house signature, three day dry-aged roast duck infused with Chinese 5 spice.
And for dessert there's chocolate brownie with ice cream and salted caramel; mango spring roll with coconut sticky rice; and Vietnamese coffee soft serve.
