4 Pines Brewing Co.
Coolangatta
You’ll find the gem that is the 4 Pines Brewing Co., nestled at the beachfront entrance to Coolangatta’s Strand arcade on Marine Parade. Fancy having an Australian craft brewery with its doorstep practically on the beach! How many times have you been basking on the beach wishing for a pint of cold beer? Well, here you have it and even better, it’s freshly brewed on site!
One of Australia’s original boutique brewers, the 4 Pines Brewing Company began as a small brew-pub in Manly, before its popularity saw it expand to have venues across NSW and Victoria, finally landing in the Gold Coast a short stroll from Coolangatta Beach. The savvy owners teamed up with Boardriders Coolangatta, revamping their existing chill cafe bar (adjoining their flagship surf store).
The revamped open layout of reclaimed wood and funky festoon lighting, features the shiny Smartbrew tanks and six taps of their core beer line-up (including their pale and pacific ales) plus a small revolving batch of their limited-edition Keller Door releases, showcasing 4 Pines’ fresh, unique and innovative house brews. There’s also a selection of wines, cocktails and spirits. Saunter into the outdoor patio, where you can watch the waves whilst sipping a pint of the finest craft beer.
4 Pines also offers a classic Australian cafe and pub menu, featuring half a dozen beer and food combo options, a stack of burger choices, plus options for the peckish, the Groms (aka the kids) and for those sharing. Kick off with peckish offerings including buffalo wings, mac and cheese balls, croquettes and fries. If you’re sharing, go for the buttermilk fried chicken box or the taco sharing board. Craving a burger? You’ll find it hard to choose between the cheese, chook, Cajun, veggie or Philly cheesesteak burgers on offer. Gluten-free and vegan buns, salads and bowls are also available, and they serve Ben and Jerry’s for dessert.
Look out for special events like Mexican night or Parmi and Pint night. Drop in for Wednesday trivia plus a burger and pint combo, or live music every Thursday and Sunday.
