Dreamtime Dog Off Leash Beach
Updated: Aug 29, 2024
Dreamtime Beach is a glorious off leash beach stretching between Fingal Head and Kingscliff, one of the best places in northern NSW for doggos to let their fur down and feel the sand between their paws.
Take Fingal Road and look for the sign indicating Dreamtime Off Leash dog beach. Here there's a handful of parking spots and a path that takes you (dogs on leash) through a stretch of ancient coastal rainforest.
From there you emerge onto the wide pristine sands of Dreamtime Beach, which is bookended on the northern side by Fingal Head. The off-leash beach stretches to the left (north) and ends roughly 500m from the headland.
To the south it stretches out for several kilometres right down to the Murphys Rd access in northern Kingscliff, one of the few beaches on the eastern coast with such a massive expanse for dogs to run free.
Need to know - There are no taps or doggie bags at the entrance so you will need to BYO bags and water.
