Local is a convivial neighbourhood bar, eatery and beer garden, located in the main dining precinct along the Gold Coast Highway in Burleigh Heads. 

The ideal dining and drinking venue for all ages (pooches are welcome on the front terrace and beer garden too!) Local is the go-to for a casual bite to eat or drink, whatever the occasion.

Indulge in delicious contemporary pub fare for lunch or finner, a cold beer, glass of wine or cocktail, to be enjoyed on the front terrace (great for people-watching), the main bar area, where in one corner there are cosy velvet booths, or the leafy rear beer garden.

The food menu features dishes such as prawn rolls, lamb papardelle and John Dory along with classic pub grub like steak sandwich, chicken schnitzel, steak & ale pie or fish & chips.

Cocktail drinkers can choose from classics including Aperol Apritz, Margarita, Espresso Martini or Cosmoplitan as well as signatures such as Peanut Butter Old Fashioned (Sheepdog peanut butter whiskey, Makers Mark, white creme de cacao & chocolate bitters) or Localada (infused vanilla rum, ccoconut creme & pineapple). There's also a top selection of craft and classic beers on tap and a decent wine list.

Good to know - Local has a late night menu on Fridays and Saturdays, offered from 9pm-late. Wednesdays are Steak Night with steaks for $22, and on Fridays it's Knock-Off time between 4-6pm with happy hour drink deals.

Need to know - Limited street parking is available on James Street and surrounding streets.
