PINK WHALE HAS CLOSED.
From the team behind Valyn Thai and LimLay Thai, a casual style eatery in the heart of Surfers Paradise's Cavill Mall, Pink Whale is Thai Street Food at it’s finest.
The bright pink colour scheme is hard to miss as you peruse Surfers Paradise’s most iconic strip. From glittery rainbow tables to neon lights and a cute baby pink picket fence, the decor is both adorable and eye catching.
One delicious feature on the menu is the array of skewers, including Tropical Chicken or Beef, Pork, Wing or even Satay Chicken. Each skewer is tender and tasty! Or if skewers aren’t your thing, you can build your own soup bowl. Just pick a noodle, a protein and a soup then enjoy!
A real highlight is the Pineapple Fried Rice. Served in half a pineapple, this dish photographs so well and it eats even better. The flavour profile is heightened by the addition of egg and prawn. More from the “Rice and Noodle Stir Fry” segment of the menu is the classic Pad Thai and Pad See-ew or try something a little more interesting with the Tom Yum Fried Rice.
However, the dish of the day has to be the Sizzling Tenderloin with beef, peppercorn, chilli and mixed vegetables. The sizzling jus is poured over the dish at the table so it’s both entertaining and mouth watering. This one is for the spice lovers - it packs a bit of heat!
Pink Whale also serves up homemade brews including Thai Milk Tea, Coconut Juice and Thai Lemon Iced Tea. For the adults, there’s on tap options in Asahi and Stone & Wood as well as bottled Corona or Somersby Apple Cider, just to name a few.
Need to know - Whilst parking is Surfers Paradise can be tricky, there is nearby metered street parks and paid parking in the Paradise Centre carpark. Otherwise, you can opt for the tram as Pink Whale Thai is a 2 minute walk from the Cavill Avenue Station.
