Costa Taco

The third outlet of popular Gold Coast Mexican taqueria, Costa Taco can be found in the heart of Burleigh Heads, a sibling for their Broadbeach and Byron Bay eateries.

Occupying a large cavernous space on the Gold Coast Highway, the inviting interior of Costa Taco features polished concrete floors, rustic bag-washed brick walls with street art and a mix of booths and timber picnic style tables.

The menu at Costa Taco features a selection of fresh, authentic Mexican street-style tacos made from locally sourced produce, including beef birria (jalisco style braised beef. cori onion & salsa); pork carnitas (michoacan style confit pork, coriander, pickled onion & pina-guajillo salsa); and beer battered local snapper (with chipotle crema, marinated slaw, cori & cashew salsa).

The specials menu features a selection of Mexico's most popular meals, such as chilaquiles (Mexican style wet nachos with red or green salsa, queso fresco, chipotle crema, coriander & pickled onions); quesabirrias (two cheesy crispy birria tacos with cori onion, served with housemade dipping consomme); and tres ceviche tostadas (three crispy tostadas topped with chipotle crema, ceviche, fresh tomato, cucumber, pickled onions, chilli & avocado).

For drinks there's a choice of local and Mexican beers; classic, coconut, chilli and seasonal fruit margaritas, aquas frescas (horchata, Jamaica,tamarindo) and Jarritos (Mexican flavoured sodas).

Good to know - For children there's a special kids quesadilla (toasted tortilla with melted mozzarella).
