Barrow is one of the Gold Coast's hidden treasures - a rustic and unique retro style restaurant and cafe, nestled within lush gardens in Mount Nathan.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Barrow is the go-to for any occasion, serving up classic Australian dishes in a picturesque country setting.
For breakfast, there are dishes such as Grandma's Chilli Jam Eggs (poached eggs on toasted sourdough, avocado, potato gems & grandma’s chilli jam); Wild Mushroom Bruschetta (medley of forest garlic mushroom, fresh herbs, black truffle drizzle, grated vintage cheddar, free range poached egg on toasted sourdough); French Toast (caramelized brioche, crème fraiche, berry compote, caramelized apple, fresh fruit, fairy floss); and Uncle T's Chilli Scramble (Uncle T’s sambal, fresh chili, spring onion, fried shallot, grana padano & sourdough).
For lunch and dinner, choices include small plates such as Chicken Waang's (dad's bourbon & gherkin pickles); or Lemongrass Coconut Mussel (NZ Mussels in creamy coconut broth & toasted sourdough); while large plates include Beef Rendang; Signature Pork Ribs; Lamb Shank; and Chilli Prawn Fettuccine; as well as burgers (chook, Angus Beef or Cowboy Sandwich). From 5pm there's also a selection of pizzas available.
Drinks-wise, from the bar there's a small selection of wine and beer including local craft beer on tap; as well as classic spirits and cocktails, including espresso martini, Margarita; Cinnamon Old Fashioned, Aperol Spritz and Bellini. Non-alcoholic drinks include mocktails, smoothies, matcha, cold pressed juice, milkshakes, coffee and tea.
