LIME KITCHEN & BAR HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

Lime Kitchen and Bar, formerly known as My Little Kitchen or MLK Espresso Bar and Café, is nestled in the bottom of the historic Hi-Ho Beach Apartment building in Broadbeach.

Over the years locals shortened the name to MLK and it stuck, even though the little café formally became the Lime Kitchen & Bar a year or so ago.

Less than a block from the beach, this little café has a relaxing beach vibe that flows from the leafy entrance of the undercover alfresco area through to the beautiful cosy indoor space.

Lime (MLK) is incredibly popular for its stand-out whole bean Organic Espresso coffee from the Byron Bay Coffee Company, which is known for its well-rounded rich silky body, sweet acidity and buttery cacao flavours.

For those on the run with their coffee, there is a selection of sweet and fluffy fresh cabinet treats including cakes, muffins and slices.

Lime (MLK) also offers delicious all-day breakfast and tasty lunch dishes, cold press juices as well as wines, beer and bubbles. The team strive to source local and organic ingredients when possible. That’s why they’ve partnered with Gold Coast Eggs for free-range eggs, Australian Artisan Bakery for freshly baked breads, and with Yarra Valley Farms to offer seasonal Australian produce.

The delightful menu features dynamic seasonal, wholesome dishes including ‘choose-your-own topping’ Granola Bowls with a house blend of hazelnuts, almonds, pepita seeds, dates, goji berries, oats, dried apricot, chia seeds, honey, cinnamon and yoghurt. Topping choices include Berrylicious with white chocolate, Summer Sensation with mango, passionfruit and banana, and Love Cluster with kiwi passionfruit and strawberries.

Breakfast favourites like Lime’s eggs Benedict, the brekky tortilla, easy omelette and eggs on toast all offer gluten free options. Other menu favourites include smashed avo with crispy sweet potatoes, Lime’s brekky bruschetta, big breakfast, Aussie burger with fries, flash fried calamari, falafel pockets, sweet corn fritters and poke bowls. Lime’s wraps, rolls and toasties are very popular lunch time options.

Lime (MLK) has a extensive selection of fresh juices, frappes and smoothies available, as well beer and cider on tap and a wine and spirits on offer.
