Cruize Espresso
Labrador
Cruize Espresso is one of the best of the cafés clustered around Chirn Park on Labrador’s Musgrave Avenue foodie strip. Tucked into a leafy corner of Turpin Road, Cruize offers a happy, vibrant atmosphere with ample parking and a light and airy garden feel.
Stylish shaded dog friendly bistro settings outside are complemented by plush bench seating inside running the length of the crisp white VJ-panelled wall. Modern and eclectic art pieces adorn the wall which is accented by a rose neon light cleverly expressing “I love you a latte”!
A steady stream of coffee goers come in for the premium quality espresso blend of full-bodied, Italian style coffee with a rich and warm chocolate flavour care of Merlo roasters. As they sling out the special brews, from the perfect pink La Marzocco espresso machine, the hard-working baristas always greet you with a smile. While passers-by can’t go past the huge selection of delicious baked goods, including deluxe doughnuts, toasted croissants and house-made muffins on display at their counter cabinet.
Cruize has become incredibly popular for its all-day breakfast menu of classic dishes including the fry up, eggs your way and the avo smash to name a few. There are some interesting and delicious twists too like The Benjamin (toasted English muffin stacked with bacon, avo, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce) and the Brooklyn bagel (topped with pulled pork, poached eggs, chipotle hollandaise and apple slaw). Lunch is served from noon with burger, salad, toastie and bagel offerings.
Thirsty diners have half a dozen fresh juice blends to choose from including the classic wake-up call (with orange, apple, pineapple and strawberry), or the green with envy (with apple, kale, ginger, lemon and cucumber). There are also as many smoothie options, like the Banana Del Ray (with maple and cinnamon) or the Cochella (with mango, banana, lime and coconut water).
Cruize is also licensed to serve rosé, red and white wine.
So why not pop in with the pooch for for a cruizey coffee or cuppa today?
