Seaway Kiosk

Updated: Jan 27, 2026

Heading north on Seaworld Drive, you’ll travel passed the high-end hotels and the iconic theme park, to the end of the Southport Spit, simply called “The Split” which is the entrance to the Gold Coast Seaway.  It is here, along with others hunting for the Gold Coast’s best fish and chips, you’ll find the Seaway Kiosk.

The Seaway Kiosk offers a classic breakfast and lunch dishes to hungry visitors who can choose to takeaway and picnic or dine-in and enjoy the view over the Seaway Promenade and Moondarewa Spit foreshore.  The décor inside is mix of galley style window seating and simple bistro tables with a mix of nautical blue and historical features.

To cater for early morning beachgoers, dog walkers, surfers and fisherman, breakfast is offered from 7am with the cleverly titled Early Riser Big Breakie, the Seaway Savoury mince (with poached eggs and grilled tomato) and the sweet corn and zucchini fritters (with avo, tomato salsa, baby spinach and poached eggs).  Lunch fare includes the fresh snapper and chips, the veggie burger, as well as their famous crab sandwich, taco or spring roll. Delightfully, there is a Nippers menu plus a separate menu for pooches, complete with dog biscuits, patties or sausages.

The Seaway Kiosk serves a lot of coffee and its Massimo blend of choice comes from Segafredo Zanetti roasters who use only the best Arabica and Robusta coffee beans. Offering a classic Italian espresso flavour, the blend features sweet notes of caramel and dark chocolate with a rich creamy finish.

There are plenty of organic tea flavours, smoothies and make-your-own fresh juices. Our favourites were the Tropical (with apple, orange, pineapple and passionfruit) or the Energizer (with baby spinach, ginger, green apple, cucumber and coconut water).

Of course, the iconic kiosk also has a very busy ice cream bar slinging out cones as fast as the sun melts them on a hot summers day.
