Natural Bridge

Natural Bridge is the jewel in the Gold Coast hinterland crown, a heavenly cave like rock formation in Springbrook National Park that is home to a waterfall, glow worms and a colony of tiny bent-wing bats.

The drive to Natural Bridge is via the Nerang Murwillumbah Rd, through jaw-droppingly gorgeous unspoilt mountain scenery and tiny valley hamlets to the cusp of the NSW-QLD border and it is here that the turn-off to Natural Bridge lies.

Adjacent to the car park a stone picnic shelter and giant fig tree buttresses mark the start of the easy grade walk down to the bridge. Take the path to the left to follow the circuit clockwise (and down hill all the way) to underneath the awe-inspiring arch, which by night transforms into a magical glow worm cave.

From here the path travels up and around the back with viewing spots of the waterfall and rock pools below on the way before finishing back at the car park.

All in all the circuit of about 1.5km takes about 30-40 mins.
