Golden Times is a cool retro cafe in an old Bilinga beachside shop, with a nostalgic nod to the bygone 'golden era' of the Gold Coast.
Decked out in earthy tones and, in keeping with the vibe, adorned with a smattering of vintage knick-knacks and retro artworks, Golden Times is a great spot for a pre-or-post beach feed.
The all-day breakfast menu, which is seaonal, has scrumptious offerings such as Summer Fruit Toast (grilled nectarine, goat’s cheese, avocado, sumac & hot honey on Burleigh Baker's sourdough) and Eggs Benny bagel with smoked salmon.
There's also house made nutty buckwheat granola with coco yoghurt and fruit, or a blast from the past - Weetbix topped with tinned peaches and cream, as well as classic avo on toast with crispy bacon and shredded beetroot.
Other dishes include the recommended long roll with fried egg, crispy onions, cucumber, coriander and mayo and their special summer salads, bursting with fresh locally sourced ingredients.
