KŌST Bar & Grill is a glamorous beach pavilion style bar and restaurant at Broadbeach, encompassing the Gold Coast vibe with its curved booths, archways and colour tones of sand, surf and sky.
Decor, food, fire and music combine to make a quintessential dining experience for both locals and visitors, located in the heart of the action on the buzzing upmarket Oracle Boulevard.
With a cracking ocean, land and earth- focussed menu to match the exquisite decor, starters include the likes of Abrolhos seared scallop, pickled cabbage & X.O. sauce; Wagyu beef, sesame leaf & black garlic; kōst fish finger, smoked salmon roe & tartare sauce; and Bay lobster roll, gem lettuce & kost signature sauce.
A selection of cold dishes includes small plates like kost ceviche with citrus dressing; fire Kissed yellowfin tuna, pickled walnut & garum; steak tartare, egg yolk & house salt & vinegar crisps; and ranging up to the Seafood Platter (Mooloolaba king prawns, Abrolhos scallop crudo, freshly shucked oysters, 140 bay bugs with kōst signature sauces) or Seafood Tower.
The main section of the menu features delectable dishes cooked over Australia’s first two-metre Mibrasa charcoal bar and grill, including char-grilled octopus with almond tarator & Nduja dressing; and Whole Fish with smoked whey butter, capers & sea herbs.
From the land there's Wagyu rump cap or striploin MB6+; marbled tenderloin; aged duck; Magra lamb assiette; kost signature dry aged cut; and wood-fired chicken with garlic yoghurt & chicken sauce.
Equally delicious are the 'earth' dishes such as blackened Hispi cabbage, pistachio & lemon; asparagus, Romesco, quail egg & salmon caviar; heirloom tomato, smoked ricotta & herb salad; and heritage carrots, smoked eggplant & orange harissa.
Save room for dessert too, with delectable temptations such as kost hazelnut rocher, toffee & caramelised chocolate; strawberry mousse, limoncello, raspberry & tuile; and fire-kissed pineapple, coconut sorbet & macadamia.
