Iku Yakitori Bar
Burleigh
IKU YAKITORI HAS CLOSED AND BEEN REPLACED BY KIN-PAN ASIAN.
Enter through Justins Lane back alley entrance in the heart of Burleigh Heads, and you will find an panelled wood exterior that will lead you to Iku Yakitori and an authentic, delicious Japanese feast.
Decked out with wood and concrete finishing, cozy blue booths, and a black tiled bar, the decor will steal your heart. With the ambience of a classic whisky bar met with a Tokyo eatery, there is no denying that the atmosphere in this restaurant is stellar.
While the decor is beautiful, the food is the standout at this Japanese culinary gem. Choose from a range of appetisers, such as spicy edamame dip, organic local silken tofu, or cabbage with yuzu and soy. Eat from the 'raw' menu, which includes ocean trout with shiso and ponzu, or beef tataki with mushroom parmesean and ponzu. The menu features a range of yakitori skewers (a must try), such as avocado with dashi and black sesame, or sashimi with tare and wasabi salsa, and larger meals, such as kingfish collar and wagyu sirloin. They cater for all dietary requirements too!
Wash it all down with their extensive drinks menu, featuring beer, wine, and saké.
