Agave Rosa is a cool chic restaurant and taqueria serving up delectable Mexican-Japanese cuisine and cocktails opposite the beach at Kirra.
Diners can take a seat at the al fresco covered garden terrace with its customized booths and bar counter overlooking the street or in the striking red interior with its handpainted street art and backlit bar.
Agave Rosa menu orders for both food and drinks are taken via QR code at the table and service is efficient and friendly.
On the menu are small share plates/tapas such as mango ceviche; hibachi octopus or wagyu rump; farm chicken chimichangas; yucca fries; and highly recommended tuna sashimi tostada.
Tacos are a house specialty and must-try, with a choice of fillings including Baja fish, Hibachi chicken achiote, popcorn prawn tempura, Al Pastor (crispy pork belly) and cauliflower.
Signature cocktails on offer include Passionfruit Caipiroska, Appletini; Mexican Mule; and Lychee Love while the margarita menu includes coconut, chili, classic, Tommy and frozen margaritas.
There's also a range of tequilas (El Jimador, Don Julio Anejo, Casamigos Reposado, Patron Anejo and Espolon, Mexican beers (Estella Galicia, Negra Mondelo, Tecate & Corona) and a daily beer on tap, as well as wines (Australia, Spanish & Chilean) and a selection of Mexican soft drinks.
Good to know - There's also cheese quesadillas and fries for little ones. Agave Rosa has a choice of set menus starting from $45pp up to $65pp
