The workshop, titled Dura, yaga, jar - grow, cook, eat, offers a unique opportunity to learn about the rich native flavours of Yugambeh country.
During this immersive session, you will be guided through the gardens, where you will learn to identify a variety of local bush-food plants. You'll not only learn about the cultural significance of these plants but also discover how to incorporate their unique flavours into everyday cooking.
The workshop is designed for individuals aged 12 and above, with a focus on teaching practical skills for growing bush tucker at home. Whether you're a keen gardener or a novice cook, you'll walk away with valuable tips on how to cultivate native plants in your own garden and use them to enhance your meals. From edible leaves to aromatic herbs and native fruits, the workshop reveals the culinary potential of Australia's native flora, making it easy to bring a taste of the bush to your kitchen.
