Labrador sits on the western side of the Gold Coast's beautiful Broadwater, just north of iconic Southport and Main Beach.  Like a loyal pooch, Labrador has been one of the Gold Coast’s mainstays since its first hotel was built in 1884 for the Cobb and Co coach service which transported boat passengers arriving from Brisbane.  Local Aborigines were also drawn to the area due to its abundance of shellfish, mud crabs, oysters and waterfowl.  Similarly, today Labrador is the perfect place for a feast with the family, a beverage with your buds, or coffee with your clan.  Boasting excellent espresso bars, wonderful waterside restaurants, succulent seafood and cute cafes clustered around Chirn Park and Musgrave Avenue, lovely Labrador has just what you seek.
