Updated: Jun 28, 2026
Harahetta Ramen brings an authentic taste of Japan to Coolangatta, serving up delicious bowls of ramen that may just be the best on the Gold Coast.
Nestled within the corner precinct that also houses Bar Evelyn and Baskk, Harehetta Ramen offers seating in the covered dining pavilion, or inside the cosy restaurant, which looks like it's been beamed up from Tokyo.
Hero of the menu is Tonkatsu Ramen, made from scratch in-house based on their signature pork broth, with a choice of original, spicy, black garlic or miso, all fo whihc are highly recommended.
Also recommended is the veg ramenn (miso based) whilst other options include vegan ramen (with spinach or rice noodle) and there's even a special Kids ramen meal (original tonkatsu) whihc comes with an apple juice.
As well as ramen there's also Japanese burgers (including teriyaki or sweet chilli karaage) served with lotuis chips: and rice bowls; along with small dishes including gyoza (pork, veg or spicy pork) and karaage (sweet chilli, Nanban Japanese tartar or ponzu radish).
From the drinks menu there's Japanese beer (including Yoyogi Pale Ale and Suntory Premium Malt on tap), a handful of boutique wines; Japanese whiskey and pink gin; hot or cold sake; Umeshu; Shochu and Chu Hi (Japanese soft drinks) and standard soft drinks.
Need to know - There is street parking available on Marine Parade and nearby streets.
