Updated: Jun 12, 2025

Tallebudgera Creek Park has a state-of-the-art boardwalk, connecting to the rock groin and Gold Coast Oceanway, with a dedicated lookout to enjoy the stunning views across the turquoise waters of Tallebudgera Creek to Burleigh Head National Park.

Starting from Tallebudgera Creek Beach, follow the path as it hems the sandy beach, lined by pandanus trees, and emerges to the new boardwalk section where there's street furniture including a line-up of stools and a bench with front row seats to enjoy the view.

Here is the perfect spot to stop with a takeaway coffee from nearby Custard Canteen and take in the scenery, including the backdrop of the distant mountains of the Gold Coast Hinterland behing Tallebudgera Creek Bridge, a glimpse of the Greek Island Village style compound that houses Georges Pizza Wine Bar across the creek, and the Gold Coast's own Echo Beach.

From here continue along the paved path to the tip of the rock groin dividing the creek and Tallebudgera Beach, for at the end is one of the most breathtaking views on the Gold Coast, with the massive bulk of Burleigh Head National Park shrouded in greenery and Surfers paradise skyline peeking out behind it.

And to the south, there's a sweeping view of Palm Beach, Currumbin headland and Coolangatta skyline. Gold Coast City Council has a special viewing post there with a QR code to share your pictures.

From here, you can either stroll back along Tallebudgera Creek or veer left along the path that leads alongside the dog beach and patrolled surf beach to the Tallebudgera Surf Life Saving Club, an ideal spot for lunch with a view. Here there's also a kids park and amenities block.

Good to know - Combine the walk, which is fully accessible for all, including wheelchairs and prams, and is also dog friendly, with brunch at Custard Canteen or lunch or early dinner at Tallebudgera Surf Life Saving Club.

Need to know - There is onsite parking near the club and Tallebudgera Creek Beach but these spots fill up early.
